The Journey to Handstand
The Workshop provides a learning experience which is hopefully going to help you create a sustainable and safe base for practicing Handstands.
The Videos cover:
- ANATOMY INFO that help us stay safe in the Pose: You will learn facts about your muscles and joints, that make it easier to understand Handstands.
- PRACTICING DRILLS for core, shoulders, glutes, legs, wrists and neck to work on the physical challenges we experience in Arm Balances and play with brain drills that help improve posture, gaze and balance.
- A small portion of the class will be spent on the wall. I am a big fan of WALL DRILLS, not so much of using the wall to learn how to hold. Therefore we’re moving on quickly to…
- FALLING OVER- lots and lots of times, to learn different techniques that allow us a safe and stabile landing as we loose balance or control. Just another thing to keep you safe and avoid injury.
- Only at the very end we are turning that Knowledge into ACTION and play with Jumps, Entries, Exits.
